EMILIO’S STORY
When Emilio was diagnosed with leukemia, his parents, Richard and Diane, felt their world turn upside down. They felt lucky to be with a strong support system, but they noticed many hospital families fighting alone, unable to even afford transportation to treatments. After Emilio passed away just before his sixth birthday, his parents turned their grief into a promise, founding ENF in 2003. They vowed that no parent should ever have to choose between keeping their job and saving their child’s life. Since then, ENF has provided free transportation and compassionate care to over 15,000 children across Southern California. Today, Emilio’s spirit lives on in the laughter inside our vans and the smiling eyes of our families.
