ENF is committed to educating our communities and creating awareness about childhood cancer. In 2013, approximately 11,500 children and adolescents will be diagnosed with some type of cancer and of those, 1,300 will die of this disease with cancer being the second leading cause of childhood death (after accidents).
ENF staff has the opportunity to spread the word, not only about our services but about other resources available. We strongly promote involvement through volunteering and giving back. We visit schools and host workshops with information about our work. In addition, we spread our message in health fairs and events at local hospitals and clinics.
